First person (man) pictured below: Daniel Ray Thompson

If you didn't know, Daniel Ray Thompson was an activist, an instigator of good trouble, his entire life. Thompson marched with Dr. King in Chicago in 1966, the same year he graduated from Kent State with a B.A. in English and Philosophy. He became the very first Poet Laureate of Cuyahoga County, Ohio in 1992. There's a treasure trove of things to know about this Rider who was arrested more than 19 times in his life for activism, and you can read about him here.
Just shy of the age of 70, Thompson died of leukemia in 2004.
